This Wednesday: Youth Rally and Vigil
Joining forces with the ARF Shant Student Association, the CSUN ASA presents its annual Genocide commemoration event. Join us this Wednesday for an evening of remembrance. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Hilmar Kaiser, presenting interesting new findings from his research.
Following last year's turnout of over 300 students, we hope to empower and educate even more youth this year.

ANC-WR Video Exclusive: Turkish Government May Ban ANC-WR Video On Youtube - A video documenting the achievements of the Armenian National Committee - Western Region (ANC-WR) has been posted on www.youtube.com. This video may be subject to censorship by the Turkish government because it includes numerous references to the Armenian Genocide. According to Eurasia Daily Monitor, a new set of Turkish government regulations may criminalize access to websites and internet content that does not conform to government-approved standards. The article goes on to state that these latest restrictions certainly are not in keeping with the openness and transparency required by the European Union.
"From denying the genocide to censoring our youtube videos, we see the same pattern of the Turkish government seeking to subvert freedom of expression and twist historical facts," stated Andrew Kzirian Executive Director of the ANC-WR.

CULTURE DAY A GREAT SUCCESS!
The CSUN ASA just wrapped up its big, big Culture Day on October 17. We enjoyed great music, food, and more. Thanks for all who helped out that day! We will post the pictures up soon!
