Inch Ka Chka History
This is the official newsletter of the CSUN ASA started by the CSUN ASA 2005-2006 Public Relations, Terenig Topjian. Inch Ka Chka started in the Fall 2005, midway through the semester, with five volumes that were no more than two pages long. During the Spring 2006 semester, it was published weekly, and distributed in three location on campus. Terenig started the newsletter with hopes of providing current news and information about the Armenian community in the Diaspora and Armenia to the CSUN students. For many reasons, our newsletter was on hiatus for the first half of the 2006-2007 year. Fortunately, in Spring '07 CSUN ASA continued the publication of its newsletter, when Lusine Harutyunyan, at that time Historian of CSUN ASA, found out about Inch Ka Chka, and took it upon herself to help it grow!
In the 2007-2008 year the Newsletter Editor Position was officially added to the Executive board making sure that Inch Ka Chka never stops its publication. Our first Newsletter editor was Nairi Zograbyan, followed by Rozeta Yaghoub in 2008-2009 year. Rozeta took Inch Ka Chka from being the usual four page newsletter to a twelve page divers and popular newsletter. Inch Ka Chka gives our members the chance to express themselves in variety of ways, inform others of current news, art and culture, student life, and much more! This year Jessica Avetisian is the new Newsletter Editor and she already has many new and creative ideas for Inch Ka Chka and its advancement. Make sure to pick up your copy every two weeks to know “Inch Ka Chka”!
We received a lot of positive feedback for the newsletter from CSUN students, faculty, and from the community. Many thanks to all of our readers!
